Ryszard Stocki Associates was established in Kraków in 1993, and in 2000 the company relocated to Iwanowice. It was founded by Ryszard Stocki, Assistant Professor at the Institute of Psychology of Jagiellonian University. The consulting practise applies the research findings from the primary organizational cognition research conducted at the Department of Experimental Psychology. This means that we propose unprecedented and innovative solutions for both management consulting and education. The following are several examples of research/consulting tasks performed by RSA: a two-year business literacy programme for trade union leaders of “Solidarity;” development of a unique methodology, research and direction of the “People-Oriented Company Award” contest in 1999, 2000 and 2001; generation of Gen: Training Creator – a programme for planning and creating management trainings [license sold to Polskie Wydawnictwa Profesjonalne (Kluwer)]; development of a unique methodology and the conducting of management quality audits for the Management Leader – CXO competition organised by IDG's “CXO Magazine,” business negotiation training based on the concept of cognitive maps. Presently we are working on a methodology for an Organisational Maturity Audit for the Stefan Batory Foundation. In cooperation with ABB CRC, we are developing software for the quantitative analysis of cognitive maps. Our associates are usually recruited from amongst the Institute's PhD students. We also cooperate with scholars and consultants who accept our approach in Hungary, France, the Czech Republic and Italy.

We focus on working with systems, as we believe that it is systems' imperfection that prevents employees from taking full advantage of their potential.
