The satisfaction of business partners is paradoxically the only stable factor in today's very comptitive market, and so it may serve as the foundation for building a firm's strategy. Diagnosing and investigating the satisfaction of business partners and factors which influence this satisfaction should be the basis for creating product and service strategies and consequently the strategy of the whole firm. It unbelieveable how few firms make an effort to check if they have satisfied their customers. In B2B relations the cost of the whole analysis is usually covered by the return of the first dissatisfied customer; the cost for the dissatisfied customer in the Internet era may be much higher than a loss of 9 potential customers (the old rule), as Internet service discussion groups, forums, etc may multiply dissatisfaction by the hundreds.
